Trina was in the final show. This was the only show that had a total of 5
contestants.
Trina put a "spin" on Patsy Cline's "CRAZY" like we have never heard before. Some even commented that they never really thought about that song, but were now going to return home and learn it.
Trina sings any chance she gets. She rides in her car and plays tracks, and sings over and over, perfecting her own style promising her children that this will be the last time. So much that her young daughter has even said "Hey, I got an idea Mom..... let's play the quiet game.... ALL of us". *grin*
"Looooovvvviinnnnnn Youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu"...... Trina likes to add her own
"touch" to her songs.
Trina got an added bonus on this trip. Her sister Gwen lives in Florida and flew to Texas to spend time with Trina and watch her perform. They both began singing as young children. Gwen didn't enter the contest, but we all later got to hear her sing the last night in Houston at Graham Central Station. Her performance of "Black Velvet" echoed through the building.
