Singing education for people who want to develop their voice, their artistry and their confidence, without having to take traditional singing exams.
The Singers Club was created by Laura Ratcliffe, founder of The Singers Club and professional singer with Mia and the Moon, from a simple idea: what if you could take your singing seriously without having to follow the traditional grading system?
Laura never took singing grades herself. Instead, she developed her voice through professional singing, performance and real-world experience. That journey shaped the philosophy behind The Singers Club: singing education that is practical, creative, encouraging and accessible to everyone.
Our framework is designed primarily for beginners and developing singers who want to build genuine vocal skills while also discovering who they are as artists.
More than singing lessons
The Singers Club combines 1-to-1 singing lessons, structured mini courses, workshops and real-world performance experiences to create a complete learning journey.
Our students can work through a series of CPD-accredited learning modules, supported by workbooks and practical exercises. The modules can be completed alongside singing lessons and build towards The Artist’s Voice™ Diploma, giving students something meaningful to work towards without requiring traditional graded exams.
Technique is like a doorway to artistic freedom.
We want singers to become confident using their voice, heart, body and mind in real situations.

CLUB NIGHTS
Live, acoustic performance opportunities where students can step onto a real stage, perform with others and build confidence in front of a supportive audience.
STUDIO DAYS
Industry-inspired recording experiences where singers can work in a studio environment, record their songs and experience what it is like to create a mixed and mastered first demo.
WORKSHOPS
Fun, practical sessions where singers can learn together, explore different areas of music and connect with other people who love to sing.
Everything is designed to help singers gradually move from “I’m afraid” to “I am proud, and I celebrate my voice!”
The heart of The Singers Club
Ultimately, The Singers Club is about trust, joy, discovery, human artistry and community.
Singing can build confidence, creativity, self-expression and connection. It can give people a reason to step outside their comfort zone, try something new and discover that they are capable of more than they thought.

Effort Over Perfection
Throughout the programme, students can earn additional diploma points by actively engaging with opportunities beyond their weekly lessons. These experiences help develop confidence, musicianship, teamwork and professionalism in real settings, while recognising the positive contribution each singer makes to their music community.
Students can earn points for:
- Performing at Club Night Building confidence
- Attending a Studio Recording Day Experiencing the excitement of a professional studio environment.
- Collaborating with Other Singers
- Supporting a Fellow Student Demonstrating encouragement, kindness and teamwork by helping others grow in confidence.
- Completing Creative Projects Taking part in song writing, arranging, performance planning or other musical challenges.
- Taking on Leadership Opportunities Helping to welcome new members, leading warm-ups or setting a positive example within the group.
